The Pictures: Meet Me in St. Louis

The Pictures’ is more than just a film club, it has become a great social network for the over 55’s in Ballymun and the surrounding areas. ‘The Pictures’ takes place in our 211 seater theatre, so you can enjoy the big screen in comfort. Showing a wide variety of films, from classics to modern, there is something for everyone. There is one screening a month (usually the last Monday of the month). This month’s film is ‘Meet Me in St. Louis’, starring Judy Garland. The 1944 musical film tells the story of a happy family's life, as they anticipate the wonders of the 1904 World's Fair.

Weight

Fluxus Dance presents the premiere of a new dance work which explores the emotional and physical weight of living with physical difference. Presented in an intimate setting ‘WEIGHT’ allows close experience of the process through which disabled performers challenge, change and work with their artistic practice. This celebration of the body in motion is created and performed by Caroline Bowditch (Scotland and Australia), Bobby Byrne (Ireland and Spain), and Cathy O’ Kennedy (Ireland), with a diverse sound score including the work of Swedish sound artist Hanna Hartman.

Bag Lady

Starring Maria McDermottroe Directed by Caroline Fitzgerald This rarely performed play from one of Ireland’s leading playwrights is a touching story about alienation and truth. The play explores the conditions and circumstances which caused a gentle woman to become estranged from her life while giving the audience a glance into the terrifying events, which led to this isolation.
