THE PICTURES: Walk the Line

‘The Pictures’ takes place in our 211 seater theatre, so you can enjoy the big screen in comfort. It shows a wide variety of films, from classics to modern, so there is something for everyone. This month’s screening is ‘Walk The Line'.



Little Gem 

23rd March 2010 to 27th March 2010
Amber has fierce bad indigestion and the sambuca’s aren’t getting rid of it… Lorraine attacks a customer at work and her boss wants her to see a psychiatrist… Kay’s got an itch ‘down there’ that Gem can’t scratch… but maybe Kermit can…? Paul – the b***ix – uses Amber as just a ‘handy hole’ until he can get to Australia… The hairy man fancies Lorraine but fails to rise to the occasion… And Gem doesn’t like the neighbours coming in to ‘mind’ him. And if all that isn’t bad enough, ‘Little Gem’ makes his presence felt and… well… life is never the same again!

From Freak to Clique by Mat Fraser

Mat Fraser’s brand new show charts the history of disability on stage, screen, in music, sport and ridiculing real life, including his own career. Using his trademark brand of PC free comedy, songs, poetry and characters, this will engage, challenge, and charm audiences into submission. With sexy songs and poignant poetry, subversive striptease and mutated magnificence, this is not a show for the easily offended, or under 16’s!
 



HOUSE OF FUN: Jason Byrne

One of the most exciting comedy performers, and hailed by both the national press and public alike, Jason Byrne is Ireland’s ‘must see’ comedian.  Jason’s inspired, original brand of high energy lunacy ensures that there is no other comedian presently like him. His fast, free-wheeling style, fused with an array of offbeat props makes his act a helter-skelter of a show – where the audience are promised the ride of their lives.

No relationship shapes our character so much as the intense, early relationship that we have with our parents. In this unique and frank public conversation, the poet and novelist Dermot Bolger talks to two of Ireland’s leading writers about their relationships with their own parents, during their childhoods and adult lives, and how these relationships have helped to form their own personalities and outlook.

Hip-Hop for Haiti

Thousands are feared dead with many more seriously injured and homeless after the massive earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12th. Featuring some of the biggest names on the Irish Hip-Hop scene, DJ’s, MC’s, Breakdancers & Graffiti artists. ‘Hip-Hop for Haiti’ does exactly what it says on the tin; with all profits from this gig going to Concern Ireland who are doing vital work in responding to this crisis.
