House of Fun: Ardal O' Hanlon

The man made famous by Channel 4’s ‘Father Ted’, O’Hanlon is a founding father of modern Irish stand-up since he helped form Dublin’s Comedy Cellar in 1990. Ardal has a slew of comedy awards (and a BAFTA) to his name.

everywhere. Pimlico flats is akin to 'Cheers', everybody knows your name, your business, your record and what your having for dinner.

The Four Seasons & Pas de Quatre (Pugni & Perrot)

Our resident ballet class Dublin Ballet Academy is performing their end of year show for everyone to enjoy!  See the culmination of many months of hard work by the dancers as they take to the stage in this fantastic production of "The Four Seasons" with thrilling compositions from Grieg, Suppé, Delibes, etc; and a rare romantic repertoire ballet from 1845 "Pas de Quatre" (Pugni & Perrot) interpreted by the Dublin Ballet Academy soloists.

The Consequences of Lightning by Dermot Bolger

As Sam – the first tenant to move into the old tower blocks – lies dying, those touched by his life find themselves summoned to his bedside. Frank, his successful son who turned his back on him to forge a new identity; Katie, the unmarried mother whose life had seemed destined to intertwine with Frank; Anne, her young daughter whom Jeepers adores; Martin, a Jesuit in a torn jumper who has lived through every change in Ballymun.
 



House of Fun: Andrew Maxwell 

16th May 2009
Andrew Maxwell returns to axis. Maxwell recently won the Channel 4 reality show 'Kings of Comedy' – the prize being a pilot show with Endemol/ Channel 4 which is currently in production. Renowned for his sharp, fast paced streams of consciousness and well observed retort, Maxwell builds the crowd by challenging the controversial or taboo. He engages any audience he faces with a myriad of subjects and lures them into his riotous world.
