Tacaithe ag An Chomhairle Ealaíon, Foras na Gaeilge agus Leitrim County Council Léiriú mealltach le Dónal Ó Kelly, le ceol beo ó Kíla. Great music, stunning visuals, energy and high drama - the perfect night out.
The Adventures of The Wet Señor is based on the true account of Captain Francisco De Cuellar’s time in Ireland after he was shipwrecked in Sligo in 1588. His subsequent trials and adventures are the stuff of legend… Hostility and hospitality. Goid agus Gortú, Fios Feasa agus Flamenco… Marthanóir den scoth é De Cuellar, a raibh paisean aige do na mná ach é de thíor ag iarraidh filleadh ar a thír dhúchais - Captain De Cuellar’s adventures are one of the greatest Irish stories never told.

Is léiriú il-gnéitheach é ‘Adventures of the Wet Señor’ a nascann ceol, rince, físeann agus fíor-drámaíocht. Don’t miss this skilful combination of the musical passion of Kíla live with the incredible storytelling skills of Donal O’Kelly (Catalpa, The Cambria).

Following a 12-month sold-out New York run, and a major North American tour, Nilaja Sun’s OBIE Award-winning No Child… makes its Irish debut at axis: Ballymun during the 2010 Festival. Inspired by Sun’s years as a teaching artist at high schools in the Bronx, this tour de force is an insightful and often hilarious look into New York City’s public education system. Her lightning-quick portrayals of the many characters inhabiting the city’s school structure – including teachers, students, parents, administrators, janitors and security guards – provide a touching and humorous examination of the universal challenges facing education everywhere.
