Telling Womens Stories (Coming into Our Own )

axis were commissioned in late 2009 to develop and roll out a 15 week visual arts project with local women as part of the Drop in Well / Womens Resource Centre 'Telling Womens Stories' Project funded by Young Ballymun.

Emma Connors axis arts development co-ordinator facilitated the process which saw artist Helen Barry work with the group towards the launch last week of an exhibition of their art work installed in a disused shop in the Ballymun Shopping Centre that the women redesigned.

The work is phenomenal and will be in the shop for the next few weeks so if you around don't miss this interactive, moving and beautiful exhibition
