Tenchi Shinmei - Japanese Taiko Drumming

Concert featuring Wadaiko Artist Art Lee, Grand Champion of the 2005 Tokyo International Wadaiko Contest, the most prestigious Taiko competition in the world. The concert will feature solo performances by Art in a variety of styles and group performances by Wadaiko Ensemble TOKARA from Japan, Dublin's own Taiseiyo Taiko Ireland, and International Taiko workshop participants. It Runs In The Family by Ray Cooney

It’s three days to Christmas and Dr David Mortimer is preparing to address a conference of neuro-surgeons with a speech certain to guarantee him a knighthood. In rushes a visitor. A nurse he had a fling with 18 years ago. Mortimer learns that as a result of their fling she bore him a son. A son who is at this moment rampaging round the hospital searching for his wayward father! Attempting to cover up such a catastrophe on this important day sets the fibs fizzing.

Finders Keepers by Peter Sheridan

‘Finders Keepers’ is the coming of age story of Pancho, his best friend Redser and their urgent young lives spent on the Royal Canal.

Set in North Inner City Dublin, against the background of the declining Dublin Docklands of the early 1970’s, the play gives insight into the larger than life world of teenage imaginations.

Before it’s world premiere in June, axis presents an exclusive run of previews of the new play from acclaimed writer Dermot Bolger. Even before it’s opening, ‘The Parting Glass’ has been invited to take part in the Underground Zero Festival at the PS122 venue in New York this coming July! Shot through with caustic wit and sharp home truths, ‘The Parting Glass’ is an examination of Ireland over the past two decades, and Thierry Henry’s left hand!
