Making Tracks 2008 Music Recording Assistance Opportunity
In January 2008, Dublin City Council Arts Office in partnership with axis put a call out for applications for a Music Recording Assistance Opportunity. The recipients of this award would receive 2 days rehearsal time and 1-day studio time in the Basement recording studios in axis towards an original music recording. An independent expert panel will assessed the applicants and chose the group 'Mob Fandango'. In December 2008 'Mob Fandango' came to axis recording studio to record the track. This track will be available to listen on axis' website shortly.

Fiachra White of 'Mob Fandango' had this to say about the recording session:
"We used the opportunity to put together a pre-production demo of 4 songs which we recorded in about eight hours, recording in pairs and three's where possible, and sometimes more using two separate rooms. We thought it a raging success to have come away with the quality of recording that we did in such a short space of recording time."
